The rules here are pretty simple. Go undefeated for a week, you’re almost certainly our MLB Team of the Week. The Mariners managed this two weeks ago, but had to ride the honorable mention after the Orioles won MLB Team of the Week. So Seattle’s squad decided to do it again. With 14 consecutive victories, the Mariners were a home run pick for our MLB Team of the Week this week. They are just the fourth team to ever enter the All-Star Break with a 10+ game winning streak, joining the 1935 Detroit Tigers, 1945 Chicago Cubs, and 1975 Cincinnati Reds, all of whom won their league’s pennant. That is not bat news for the fans of the Seattle Mariners, who still await their favorite team’s first World Series appearance.

WNBA Team of the Week

The Las Vegas Aces are the Elias Game Plan WNBA Team of the Week for the week of July 18th, 2022.

The Las Vegas Aces have absolutely dominated the rest of the league all season, no more so than over the past week. Thus, the Las Vegas Aces are our WNBA Team of the Week! With a 34-point road win over the New York Liberty and an 8-point road win over Eastern Conference hopefuls the Connecticut Sun, the Aces proved their mettle against a tough stretch in their schedule coming out of the break. The best in basketball keep looking better and better as they run through the W. There is no question: the league runs through Las Vegas right now.
